Today was my second day of presenting the Reconnection Journey to the youth at our local school. In the morning, I'm singing a song by Joanne Shanendoah "Rabbit Song" with my cousin. Six Nations community is so talented in music. From traditional singers to country to bluegrass and to blues.
One of my favourite singers is Derek Miller. The first time I heard him sing was at a talent show in high school. Since then, nothing has stopped him from living his dream. I'm just a spring blossom beginning to sing with Hot Brown Sugar for three years compared to his decades. Watching Derek perform at the school today, he still is my inspiration.
