The founder of Reconnection Journey through the Tree Rings program, Cindy L. Martin (Cindy Lynn) is an acknowledged speaker in Canada, United States and also presented at an United Nations event April 28th 2017 in New York City. In Cindy Lynn's Haudenosaunee culture, she belongs to the Turtle clan of the Cayuga Nation. As a single mother, she has worked, lived and raised three grown children within the Six Nations community. "My life's work is traditional health promotion that began within the areas of Diabetes Education, Healthy Babies and Healthy Lifestyles promotion...I enjoy inspiring, mentoring and coaching children, youth and adults to make positive changes in their life. I contribute my knowledge to help others through life's challenges". |

My purpose is to empower indigenous girls and women to value their life and make positive choices whenever possible.
My inner strength originates from the positive role models in my culture. I have carried myself through the hurt and disappointments of life but healed with the help of others. I am grateful for learning my self worth and accept who I am. I live life with purpose and contribute to help others. |
